Camp Coffee: The Best Cup You'll Ever Have
There is no coffee like camp coffee.
Not from a café, not from a nice machine at home — nothing compares to a cup made outside in the morning when the air is still cool and the day hasn't started yet.
It doesn't have to be complicated. A percolator over the camp stove. A pour-over with your camp kettle. A French press if you're feeling civilized. Even a pot of cowboy coffee boiled over the fire — grounds and all, strained through your teeth — has a certain charm that no barista has ever managed to replicate.
The secret isn't the method. It's where you're drinking it. With the birds flying by, the fire crackling down from last night, and absolutely nothing that has to happen for the next hour.
That's the cup.
